(Click to expand) ↓- What's the Walk?
EASY WALK
4.5km, 2hrs gentle walking, lunch included.
Physically less demanding, the EASY walk is specifically designed for the walker who likes nature in small, pleasant, easy doses. The hardest part of the tour is balancing your hot chocolate on your lap whilst you take photos!
The tour winds its way around several short walks leaving from The Springs and heading out to Sphinx Rock, The Octopus Tree and then driving to The Summit. You will love learning about The Mountain, the views, the fresh air and the peaceful stillness that only our Tasmanian Wilderness can provide.
ADVENTUROUS WALK
5.5km, 550m elevation gain, 2.5 hrs walking, lunch included.
The Adventurous walk is by no means 'difficult' but it will certainly get your heart rate up! Be prepared for some very rewarding views throughout the walk.
Starting at the Springs, we do it easy across to Sphinx Rock - a magnificent treetop lookout. From here we head up the old Sawmill Track to the base of the Organ Pipes, crossing boulder fields and mountain streams on the way.
We cut back across the mountain and then take the Zig Zag Track steeply up beside the cliffs. A short steep pinch sees us at the summit!
- What's the Ride?
Let gravity do the work as you gain speed leaving the top of Mt Wellington on your bike.
Coast down the road as a group, taking in the sights of Hobart and stopping for photos. The road winds through the forest as you descend 1270m.
The more adventurous may opt to go off road down one of Mt Wellington’s many mountain bike tracks, before meeting up at the Cascade gardens. Ride pass Georgian and Federation architecture as you make your way to Salamanca where the ride finishes in Hobart’s culture centre.
- What's the Paddle?
Two hours of exploring the Derwent river from Constitution Dock with its grand old sail boat and fresh fish punts to Salamanca’s convict made historic buildings.
The way Hobart was meant to be seen!
Paddle past one of Hobart’s first settlements Battery Point with all it’s private jetty’s, then carry on through the crystal blue water to Sandy Bay beach with Australia’s oldest casino. No prior experience is needed. Your guide will make you feel safe and overload you with Hobart’s fascinating history.
